Fellow of the American Geographical Society. Married, 1., Eliza Storrs, April 12, 1859, dau. of Horace Holden, Esq., of New York City, and Mary Cotton. She was born Dec. 23, 1829; died Aug. 6, 1860. Married, 2., Katharine Judson Holden, dau. of Horace Holden, Esq., and Katharine Plant Judson, Apr. 10, 1866. She was born April 26, 1838; died Dec. 30, 1898. Children:
Note: Washington's Life Guard. Katharine Judson Holden was grand-daughter of Captain Levi Holden of the Continental Line (6th Mass. Infantry) and Washington's Life Guard, present at Long Island, Harlem Heights, White Plains, Trenton, Princeton, Saratoga, and Yorktown. Born 1754 at Sudbury, Mass. M. Hannah Plympton. Died at Newark, New Jersey, 1823 and was buried in the old Trinity Church Cemetery on Rector St. Newark. His descendants have placed a granite slab to supplement his battered and illegible gravestone. End of Note.
